Living in the Tension Gathering – Nov. 4

Living in the Tension Gathering – Nov. 4

For our next Living in the Tension gathering on Monday, November 4th, we will be talking about marriage. Rather than a discussion about our views on the legal, moral, and human rights topics surrounding marriage for gay and lesbian individuals, we will be talking about marriage in a more general sense. This conversation will lead into discussing our thoughts about the topic of divorce. We will explore questions such as:

What is marriage and why does it exist? If you are married (or desire to marry), what was your motivation? What influences different types of marriage arrangements in different parts of the world? What are your thoughts on arranged marriages? Should monogamy be the standard? If so, why?

We will be meeting in Room 124 on 5255 N Ashland Ave. at 7pm.

If you’re available beforehand, we will be getting together to grab a bite to eat and hang out at Jerry’s Sandwiches (5419 N Clark) at 5:15pm.

We hope to see you there!

Much love.
