Apparently weβre all supposed to be singing silly songs to prop up our menfolks.
This is a series looking at the marriage advice given in Nancy Campbellβs book βHow to Encourage Your Husbandβ.
While packing for a move I have turned up are books, terrible idiotic books filled with toxic advice. One of those books is by Nancy Campbell of Above Rubies βHow to Encourage Your Husbandβ. I think I ended up with this book in the aftermath of leaving my old church, given to me by one of my former friends that thought it would βhelpβ my marriage since in her eyes my husband leaving our old church meant that I wasnβt doing my job of wife well enough. Reading through this book now I cannot help but laugh at some of the suggestions. The book is entirely written by commenters and comments from Nancy Campbellβs website.
Sing Him a Song
My husband, Jim, is in sales which has itβs ups and downs, much like a roller coaster. I started to sing to my husband when he closed a sale. βIβm proud of you! Iβm proud of you! Oh yes, Iβm so proud of you! Boop, Boop De Doo!β Much to my surprise, it really spurred him on. He tries his hardest to get as many sales each day as he can, so he can call and hear me sing his reward. I know this really showed him how much I appreciate him going out and working hard for our family.
