The night the church burned down in Copey de Dota, Costa Rica. Makes me think about the concept of hell.

John Piper of Desiring God is at it again, giving out very bad advice for raising children again. Here in one of his sermons he outlines why he thinks teaching a six year old child about hell is a good thing. Really? Don’t kids already have enough hard realities coming at them in this age without teaching your children to fear God and hell?

Please don’t chose to traumatize a six year old by fear mongering like this! Even if you really believe this about judgement and hell you shouldn’t tell these things to small children!

Oh yeah, I forgot, fear-mongering is what is done routinely in Quiverfull because they really don’t want anyone to think, ever.
