Doug Wilson – If You’re Racist and You Know it Clap Your Hands

Doug Wilson – If You’re Racist and You Know it Clap Your Hands 2022-03-01T17:15:07-04:00

A quick one today.

For the last week or so I’ve been watching the usual suspects of Quiverfull’s blogs and social media to see if anyone else besides Jeremy Vuolo and Lori Alexander have gone Kanye West nuts. Funny, but there has been not a whisper, not a mention. Lori Alexander has mentioned it something like 11 times now. But most everyone else is radio silent.

You would would think they might be rejoicing over a super famous convert, or railing against him for his former life. Sadly none of them are saying what many of us are thinking. That an openly unmedicated bipolar is having a manic episode and someone needs to be concerned because the public crash might be too much for him. That is where my concerns over this embracing of Christian culture are.

Evangelicals can be the most brutal people on earth in the face of mental illness, linking it to a lack of faith, or in some cases with demons. Instead of what it actually is, a lack of chemicals in your brain or some other physical thing wrong manifesting as mental illness. No different than suffering from allergies, or heart problems, or cancer. Something you cannot blame the sufferer for. This is where I fear for Kanye, and others that join the church in the middle of a manic episode.

But Doug Wilson of Blog and Mablog is continuing on in his rebellion series. Today’s post looks like a distinct β€œEff You” towards Kanye and every other black musician. Doug didn’t write this but he’s sure sending a message:

Oh ho, ho, ho! Doug why don’t you tell us how you really feel about β€œurban music”? I have to think based on the timing of this that Wilson might actually be referring to the music of one Kanye West.

And a few more, Doug moans about fuel conservation and other things. His choices from this book are painting a picture, but it’s of a frustrated old man yelling at the world to get offa his lawn.

All of this reads like gramppa needs a calmative and a nice long nap.
