Happy Easter – Open Thread COVID 19

Happy Easter – Open Thread COVID 19 2022-03-01T17:14:48-04:00

I am waiting to hear the outraged media reports on churches that opened today for Easter and my test results. That scofflaw church in Central, Louisiana has said they will open, and I’m sure there will be a pile more, all grappling for the title of who is martyrbating the hardest during the pandemic.

According to Newsweek Kentucky governor Andy Beshear is not playing. He says that they will be recording the license plates of those daring to defy the ban, and the health department will be issuing 14 day mandatory quarantines. I’d rather them hit them where they really live, by levying fines on churches and church members breaking the stay at home order.

It is horribly boring and frustrating to be forced to stay home, but it’s important and it’s already starting to have an effect in lowering infection rates in some places.

So here’s a thought. What are you watching during this time? Are you finding yourself streaming things you would normally not watch. Yes, I have watched a few episodes of β€œ90 Day Fiance”. I am seeing everyone praising β€œTiger King” but I was only able to stomach one episode because of the issues of animal abuse. Everyone seems to love it except for a few of us. Sticking with my usual shows like β€œBetter Call Saul” and revisiting a handful of others from the past like β€œMad Men”

How are you coping on this Easter Sunday?
