No Longer Quivering
Piggy backing onto Cindy Kunsman’s post earlier there is something I’ve been meaning to mention. One of the biggest lies I’ve seen promoted in the various Duggar family centric boards is that somehow Jinger Duggar Vuolo has broken free of her childhood, and is somehow living a better, kinder, more liberal life in Los Angeles with her husband Jeremy Vuolo.
No, Jinger is not, she’s living a very scripted, carefully edited life with exactly the same harmful and exploitative theology she was raised in. It’s just polished and shiny and deceptive with the endless coffee shop photos, the professionally done photos of her and Jeremy carefully posing. It’s shiny, it’s new, it’s so so calculated. It’s Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar with nicer furnishings, better hair cuts, and designer clothing. But it’s the same theology as it ever was.
How do I know? Easy. Jeremy is still attending John MacArthur’s Master’s Seminary and he is scheduled to speak at an upcoming cruise featuring Voddie Baucham and others from the world of John MacArthur.
The same John MacArthur who is a hyper Calvinist just like John Piper of Desiring God. He has spoken out publicly against Beth Moore, Steven Furtick and Joel Osteen. I am guessing his head would explode if he knew that Osteen was spotted this week marching in a Black Lives Matter protest in Houston, Texas. Osteen is getting criticism from his critics and many Christians for taking that step. I don’t know what his motives are, but it’s a good step forward from him.
I noticed for all the Black Outs that both Jinger and Jeremy posted on social media it never occurred to either of them to join one of the many peaceful protests or marches being held in Los Angeles. Osteen at least marched.
No matter how many lattes they sip, professional photos they pose for, “Black Outs” they post on social media, Kanye West events they attend, or podcasts they babble out these are people with the same warped, dangerous, hateful belief system as Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar. This is just more Duggar deception to game everyone into thinking they are somehow ‘different’. Same as it ever was.
