Confessions of a College Slacker: My Biggest Regret

Confessions of a College Slacker: My Biggest Regret 2015-06-09T21:54:25-04:00

Here’s the thing- I don’t regret these things because of the end result. Even if I put forth maximum effort in football, there’s still a good chance I wouldn’t have made the NFL and even if I would have attended class and had a 4.0 G.P.A., I’d probably still be doing the same jobs I do today. I regret these years because I wasn’t glorifying God. God blessed me with the amazing opportunity to get a free education while playing the sport I love and I squandered it all. Instead of being just another college slacker, I could have made an eternal impact by glorifying God through my actions.

Luckily for me, I’m able to look back and recognize my mistakes. I don’t dwell on the past but I’d like to think that I’ve certainly learned from it. So don’t be an idiot like me, make the most of this life and work to give glory to God.

Colossians 3:23-24 “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.”
