Why Is Nobody Talking About All of the Recent Police Deaths?

The #blacklivesmatter movement has built their agenda on claims that black Americans are unfairly targeted and gunned down by white police officers.  The liberal media and celebrities have joined in on these rallying cries, demanding that police officers pay for this supposed culture of racism and police brutality towards black people.

Yet the hard evidence does not support their claims that more black people are being targeted by police officers.

And now an alarming trend is pointing in the opposite direction – police are becoming the target of senseless murders.  Already this year, eight police officers have been shot to death, which is way up from this time last year.

When convenience store robber Michael Brown was shot and killed by a white police officer, the President quickly offered an official statement. He did the same for Trayvon Martin. And again for Laquan McDonald and pretty much every other time a black suspect has wound up on the wrong end of a lethal force situation on the part of the cops. Each case is unique, with some of them raising serious questions about the actions of the cops involved and many, many more being shown to be legitimate, though unfortunate resolutions to violent conflicts.

But those aren’t the only people being shot and killed these days. There’s been a severe spike in the deaths of law enforcement officers in the line of duty this year. Eight dead by the second week of February, with nearly half a dozen in just the last week.

This is so troubling!  The very people who are risking their lives to protect each of us everyday are being murdered in cold blood, and no one is talking about it?  Why?  Because it does not fit the well crafted narrative of the liberal agenda.

Again, let’s just use some common sense here people, and cut through the extremism. Has there ever been an African American unfairly targeted by police officers? Yes.  Has there ever been a police officer murdered in cold blood by criminals while serving the public? Yes.

Only extremists can’t admit these two basic facts. So don’t be a stupid extremist. Think for yourself.  Don’t just listen to your favorite music artist or movie star or politician running for re-election. You don’t even have to listen to me. Go look at the cold hard facts and statistics for yourself.  Don’t believe everything you hear through biased political agendas.

So let’s cut out the absurd extremism.  That’s the only way we can actually solve problems and save lives – all lives, police officers and citizens. As for those living in the hood where the line is so fine and must be walked oh so strategically. Imagine if you didn’t have the officers of the law to protect you when you slip.
