Little Pitchy, Dawg!
Did you see Steven Tyler sing the National Anthem at the Patriots/Ravens game? My favorite is the look on the coaches’ and players’ faces as they surely are thinking, “What is that noise?” He pulls it off at the end with a signature shriek, but, it wasn’t good, dawg, it wasn’t good. No ticket to Hollywood for you!
Justice League, Unite! (Against World Hunger)
Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, and other heroes of DC Comics are teaming up to help starving children in real life.
Time Warner said Monday it has partnered with aid organizations to combat the hunger crisis in the Horn of Africa with the help of DC Entertainment superheroes and the slogan “We Can Be Heroes.” – according to the Hollywood Reporter.
They won’t be only fictional heroes to real children in Africa. Well done!
‘Underworld’ Terrorizes the Box Office
The Vampire vs Human vs Werewolf action flick “Underworld Awakenings” topped the box office with $25.4 million in ticket sales, followed by “Red Tails” with $19 million. The annoying 9/11 Tom Hanks movie “Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close” flopped at just $10.5 million. But y’all should go see “Haywire,” the best of the bunch which made just $9 million. D’oh! Simpsons Contest
Do you love Ned Flanders? Are you Ned Flanders? In honor of the 500th episode of “The Simpsons,” Fox is promoting a contest with Boost Mobile. The winner and a guest will be flown to Los Angeles to attend the 500th episode party on Feb 13. They also get a free phone, blah blah. All I heard was “Simpsons Party.” Enter here.
Dark Knight, Lego Style
Apparently, Legos don’t help with the whole mumbling issue (Buzzfeed). (One character does use the “h-word” at the end, so don’t click if that bothers you or your kids.)
