What Keeps Me Going This Week: 1 Chronicles 16:34

When life is tough — or even when it’s not — I’ve found comfort in the Bible. My favorite parts change from month to month, week to week, or even day to day.  Honestly, I should read it more than I do, because I’ve also found that life is better when I hang on to its promises and truth.

Here’s the verse that’s speaking to me right now, 1 Chronicles 16:34.

Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His steadfast love endures forever!

Today, I just need to stop and praise God. It’s funny how quick we are to forget that. He is so good! Let’s praise Him. His steadfast love really does last forever.

This week, what verses remind you of God’s goodness?

I so appreciate that you “get it.” Thanks for continuing to try to remain above the frey. Lots of folks are looking at you and to you for cues. Praise be to God for giving us grace.

Amen. God gives us His unconditional love. We need to return in kind.

That is a great verse my favorite one is Hebrew 13:5b-6 . It has helped me get through a lot of hard times and to this day when I feel lost I always think of this verse, I thought you might also like it.
5b be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

Love this one too, Breanne :)

This verse and many others help to keep everything in perspective which can be derailed with life many challenges. So very grateful for His Word.

I thought what got you through the week was reporting on just how “hot” your mother is compared to Juilliana Moore. What kind of person refers to their mother as “hot.” Alaskan immature trash I guess.

Sad that you don’t realize that scripture is the one thing that encourages so many
of us and on a daily bases. Reading scripture is so much more effective than words of hate and bitterness.

Seeing haters’ post can be a reminder of what hate does. They are negative, in a drak emotional, mental, spiritual hole, graceless and without joy.

        • Bree Merr

          dark not drak

        • Reallynow

          As long as your “hot.”

      • Reallynow

        It’s “hot” to read scripture

Yes we can depend on Lord Jesus for he is the Living Word. Through it we can even forgive those nasty posting.

    That is a great scripture.
When life is rough and tough and you may not feel like praising God .. that is truly when you need to praise Him. Praise your way into victory.
