This week, America celebrates the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. His most iconic moment was leading the March on Washington in 1963, culminating in what is now known as his “I Have a Dream” speech.

In that speech, Dr. King called on Americans of all races, religions, and political parties to come together to fight to ensure the Declaration of Independence applied to all lives – that everyone would have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Every year around MLK Day, hundreds of thousands of Americans inspired by that original March on Washington go to our nation’s capital for the March for Life.

And one pro-life film company has put together a chill-inducing video to capture this connection.  You have to watch it!

This year’s theme for the March for Life is “Pro-Life and Pro-Woman Go Hand-in-Hand. I love this so much and I think Dr. King would agree. As he himself wrote, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” Whenever one of God’s creation is treated less than equal and refused dignity, we all lose.

America was founded on the unique and history-changing idea that our rights come from God. Therefore, any time a society or a government denies the right to life of one human, we should all rise up peacefully and aggressively to be a voice for the voiceless.

Good for the hundreds of thousands of Americans, many of whom are young women, who will go to Washington, D.C. next week and march for equal dignity under the law.

Until all God’s children are “welcomed in life and protected by law,” we all have more work to do.
