Equality and economic social justice seem to be in the Catholic news this week. First, we had Pope Francis’ Monday tweet:

And today, we have a great Catholic News Service video with Father Larry Snyder, President of Catholic Charities, calling for “a balance between profit and wages”. Father Snyder explains that a fourth of those who would be impacted by an increase in the minimum wage are “family people” and that what is sought is enough of a living wage to be able to care for a family.
