Grounded in Earth-Breath. October 17, 2016

I’m on a 4 1/2 hour drive and the rugged autumnal scenery is reminding me that the personal and social storms of our lives are transitory and so very fleeting.

No matter what happens with our elections, no matter how things play out at work, no matter the state of our love lives, and regardless of all of our petty preferences and opinions – the Earth remains terra firma and it is so very good.

So much beauty to behold.
Rapture is here to partake and lose ourselves in.
The red rugged cliffs, the golden aspens, the noble green pines, the gentle flowing valleys, the natural serpentine corridors for us to traverse…
I’m breath-taken and rendered so breathless with the gorgeous Creation that surrounds us that my body’s autonomic systems are taking over
and I am breathing with ease – with joyous tears welling.

Breathe
Let us breathe friends, let us breathe. Let us notice the beauty.
Let us appreciate it. Let us surrender to it. Let us be it.
And if we find ourselves so breathless because of it,
let us trust that we are beautifully made to breathe anyway.Frank talk…. and yes, let’s vote  anyway too.“Jesus often withdrew into the lonely places in the wilderness to pray.” Luke 5:16.
