My Home Puja Altar

I realized that it’s about time to update you on my home puja space. The last video I did was in our previous apartment. Now we’re in a new place (moved in in March, so we’ve been here a while) and I have a lovely place for my altar!

Sorry it’s so narrow. I keep forgetting which way to hold the camera!

I liked your Puja Alter. I have a doubt here, do we worship shiva in natraj mudra (pose)?

    • Ambaa

No, usually not! This nataraja is very special to me. Before I identified as a Hindu, I found him in a shop and he called to me in a way.

I took him with me to college, graduate school, work, life. He’s been with me for thirteen years and was the very first murti I ever had.

It was only later I discovered that Shiva is worshiped in linga form.

Still, something about the nataraja touches my soul. I look into his eyes, at his limbs arcing in dance, and I am moved.
