A Must-Have Hindu Toy!

A friend of mine just posted this on my Facebook page. It’s a set of toys that connect to a digital game on phones or pads and it’s all based on The Ramayana!

The concept is very similar to my favorite video game: Skylanders. It’s another toy that comes to life in a video game. Though that game is designed for kids in the single digits, I’ve been enjoying it for several years.

The Gamaya game takes that fun concept and adds in culture and religion, which I think is totally awesome. The toys look beautiful. It looks like you play through stories and battles from the Ramayana and you can switch out characters, who all have different battle abilities. Kids can also just play with the toys by themselves.

I contacted the company to learn more. They told me to find out if the game will work with your device, you can download the app for free before you buy the figures. There’s an app for IOS, Android, and Kindle Fire! We have a Kindle so that would work for us, I think. The figures are pretty expensive, though, so I don’t know if I can really get them. Obviously our child will be too young for this but I want it for myself! Look how gorgeous they are:

Now I have Asato Ma Saad Gamaya in my head…and that’s not a bad thing!
