Someone reading this today needs to hear this. Perhaps you are struggling in some kind of suffering or trouble and don’t even feel you can pray a “proper prayer”. Well I have good news for you.
The only prayer God needs from you right now is a very simple one: “LORD, HELP!” The trouble may not go away but HE will hear your plea and HE will be with you in your troubles and calm your heart. If you need to pray this simple prayer 100 times today that’s absolutely fine:
“Lord, help!” they cried in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He calmed the storm to a whisper and stilled the waves. What a blessing was that stillness as he brought them safely into harbor! Let them praise the Lord for his great love and for the wonderful things he has done for them. Let them exalt him publicly before the congregation and before the leaders of the nation.”
