Congratulations!! But I am jealous that it is cool enough to wear a coat!! I’m ready for a cool fall here!!
I’m not anti hunting but the posing with the kill seems a bit much. I can only surmise that hunters suffer from a tremendous amount of insecurity and need a lot of affirmation. I feel sorry for their families.
do you hold this same attitude toward those who post pics of themselves dining. Or only when the food source is organic open range?
OF course. Idiots that post those pics are no different than the Palins.
You obviously have never known some of the best people ever. My father was an outfitter and avid hunter, and very secure and needed affirmation from no one. He fed our family with the game he killed. He was a good example to friends and family alike. No need to feel sorry for us!! We were very blessed to have such a great example amongst us.
Jeff, apparently you’ve never set foot in a Cabela’s or Bass Pro Shop. Hunters/Fishermen like to have memories of their hunt. This is what they do, whether it’s a picture of the kill or stuffed and mounted on the wall it’s a memory for them. Believe it or not alot of people LOVE to see these memories. We own a hotel in South Dakota, we have a wall that is full of hunting/fishing memories. By the way….you have a sock monkey for your profile pic., which is a stuffed animal. I’m quite offended by that.
Why would you be offended by an inanimate object but defending this post?
Oh Jeff my my… a psychologist want a be.
its probably his lack of manhood that he’s compensating for actually.
Coooolll!!! This is one of the many reasons why The Palin Family ROCKS!! I love it!
not sure which one of the 2 I should feel more sorry for. fine, hunt. but, is just having killed a beautiful animal really something worth boasting about? How many pictures do the Palins need of them hovering over dead animals they’ve just murdered.
it’s not boasting any more than people who post pics of themselves eating out at restaurants. If you hold the same chagrin for everyone who posts a pic of themselves dining, then I withdraw this observation. Otherwise you are just specifically picking on those who enjoy free range organic meals.
oh give me a break! you really chose to make this comparison? having a picture taken of oneself in a restaurant whilst enjoying oh lets say .. a moose burger or a salad nicoise is just as disturbing as this image? my previous message specifically addressed the “boasting” part. get my drift?
the point is, its kinda hypocritical to complain about how the sausage is made. You just wanna see it pretty on a plate.
i’m vegan and have nothing against those who hunt. please re-read my post. next!
I’m curious… those who do not like pics of their successful hunt, impressive fish, etc. are probably also offended by pictures of people with prize winning watermelons, largest pumpkins etc??? Just wondering. Personal opinions are sometimes interesting, sometimes entertaining, and I guess always very “personal”.
It would seem that “murdered” is a bit strong! My father was an avid hunter and an outfitter. He firmly believed that you only killed the animal for the meat. You didn’t just kill for fun and waste the meat. He often took photos when on trips also… it is just what many hunters do. How do we know that the Palins are not using the meat to feed their family!? So… if you eat meat on a regular basis, don’t you think that you are guilty of allowing someone to “murder” animals as well!? We can’t judge when we do not know the facts.
I appreciate your comment and I do believe without a doubt that the Palins use up all the meat and what not. It’s still murder whether you like the word or not. call it what it is, right? we kill/murder it and then we eat it. and being a food chain believer I’m ok with that but what you may be able to help me understand is why the Palins feel the need to broadcast their kill in so many photographs. we get it already. the thrill is over, for me at least. I get it, you kill, skin and eat it. congratulations
I don’t think you get it…. If you want to save money and/or simply feed your family… you have to kill your own meat. Plus, wild game is healthier than hormone pumped commercial meat. You would be doing the same thing to a cow, deer, pig, chicken, fish… how else can someone use the meat, unless they kill the animal? Lots of people broadcast their hunting experiences… it isn’t something new that only the Palins do. Not saying it is something I would do… but we shouldn’t make such a big deal out of it… as if it hasn’t been done for years and years. Why all of a sudden blame it on one family, just because you don’t like them.
I’m vegan btw and have been a vegetarian for the past 21+ years. I do not oppose those who hunt and murder for food but I do dislike “trophy” shots especially for the purpose of political gain. honestly, I think I do get it.
Go spread your Hate toward the Palins somewhere else if you dont like there hunting Pics!
there is nothing wrong with what the palins are doing! and go spread your Hate about the palins somewhere else!
The picture is only on this blog as far as I can tell. If you don’t like it, don’t come here.
But of course then you wouldn’t get those warm feelings of self-righteousness “putting those backward conservatives in their place” would you?
YOu liberals are all okay with killing unborn childeren, right?
All meat in the stores, in restaurants, fast foods joints etc were once alive. If you eat meat, you are eating something that was killed. Enjoy!!! If you don’t eat meat… the veggies that were alive and growing in the ground before being yanked up, pulled off their source of nourishment,, young plants removed from others, to be carved, tossed, boiled, cooked in hot oil… can be enjoyed as well…. Enjoy!!!
Nice! That will definitely feed everyone for the winter. No need to go to the store for meat when there’s a feast in the freezer. I’m sure you know well to disregard the naysayers about this kill, but I’m visiting Alaska for the first time from the lower 48, more specifically a remote village near Bethel, and am astounded by how much more things cost up here. $7.22 for a gallon of milk, $4.43 for a carton of eggs, and $2.05 for a pack of gum. Why pay the high prices for commercial beef when you can go hunt for something that’s free range and provides enough sustenance for a big family through the winter months. Woohoo for your dad taking down this beast. How many rounds? Whereabouts was he? I have been walking the tundra everyday and have yet to see any big game.
and when I had fixed my gaze on it and was observing it I saw the four-footed animals of the earth and wild beasts and the crawling creatures and the birds of the air. I also heard a voice saying to me, “Get up, Peter; kill and eat”. Acts 11:6&7
Bristol 1:2 and Sarah said “fire up the grill”
Holy smokes, that thing’s bigger than my first car.
Would you mind if I sent a copy of this to PETA?
Good hunting and enjoy the feast! God Bless!
Famous progressive president poses with one of his many “trophy” shots. Bully!…
yes, and the interesting part is that this shot was not to fill his fridge…
And this is just as disgusting as the first douchebags pic.
Holy! Your Dad’s got mad hunting skills, Bristol! Congrats, Todd!
