HGTV Star Saved By Fan Who Noticed A Lump On His Neck!

HGTV Star Saved By Fan Who Noticed A Lump On His Neck! January 4, 2016

God works in mysterious ways, and in the case of Tarek El Moussa, it seems He worked through a TV viewer to alert the HGTV star to life-threatening cancer.

Host of “Flip or Flop”, El Moussa, says he owes his life to a very vigilant fan.

The Huffington Post explains:

The 34-year-old real estate expert is now in remission, but he may not have been so lucky had it not been for the perceptive fan.

“Flip or Flop” producers received a startling email from a fan about two years ago, according to The Independent.

“This is not a joke,” the email read. “I’m a registered nurse. I’ve been watching ‘Flip or Flop.’ I noticed that the host Tarek has a large nodule on his thyroid, and he needs to have it checked out.”

The email was in fact from a trained nurse named Ryan Read. Read searched online for the contact info for the producers of “Flip or Flop” and reached out to them with her concerns.

Although El Moussa had already had the lump checked out before, he listened to the fan’s warning and had a biopsy done on the lump.  The test revealed that he did in fact have cancer, and that it had already spread to his lymph nodes.

Luckily for El Moussa, the nurse’s letter prompted his to go back to the doctor in time and after intensive cancer treatment he is not in remission!

How incredible that this nurse cared enough to reach out to the network and express her concern! It is a wonderful lesson in being a good neighbor and speaking up when we notice something isn’t quite right.  You never know when the Lord is going to use you to change the life of someone else.
