When I was posting below about my co-author Nancy and her adopted kid, it made me scroll through my iPhone photos from CPAC.  Did you hear about my mom’s awesome speech?  I lost count of how many standing ovations she got.  Here’s a photo of my mom as she was leaving the stage, signing an autograph – Willow and I were standing behind her – and I thought it would be funny to take a photo of Nancy’s two oldest... Read more

I’ve met many of you at book signings I’ve done with my co-writer Nancy French.   A few months ago, I was in Washington, DC where we were signing copies of “Not Afraid of Life: My Journey So Far.” (Have you bought your copy?!) It just so happened that CPAC was going on down the street, so we also attended some of those functions. My mom delivered an amazing speech, Occupy Wall Street tried to interrupt her talk, and reporters were... Read more

You know the old saying, “Give a man a fish and he’ll eat for a day.  Teach a man to fish and he’ll eat for the rest of his life.” Well, my son Tripp hasn’t caught his first fish yet, but we’re trying our hardest to make sure he enjoys the Palin family tradition of fishing in the great state of Alaska!  You might also enjoy: Put a Ring On It (Why I’m Not Living with my Boyfriend) A Few... Read more

How did you celebrate Earth Day? What?  You didn’t realize yesterday was Earth Day? Well, if you forgot to “save the planet” by buying inferior-yet-more-expensive recycled products or by planting a tree, you might as well head over to National Review to read my mom’s thoughts on the holiday: On this holiest of days for EcoLiberals, how about if Americans celebrate Earth Day with responsible energy development that leads to greater independence... Read more

One of the joys of living here in Alaska is going to my parents’ cabin in the middle of undeveloped land near a beautiful lake.  In fact, we can only get there by floatplane, snow machine or four-wheeler…  and when we get there, it’s total peace. Recently, we made the visit I thought I’d give you a little peek. The first is a photo of Tripp with my dad on the snow machine.  Tripp loves to ride around in the... Read more

Okay, let me be a proud big sister for a moment. I’d just like to say how proud I am of my sister Willow. She graduated from high school more than a year early!  And she did that while holding a job, and helping out with Tripp, Trig, and Piper. Now she’s starting new adventures. On my upcoming Lifetime reality television show, you’ll get a sneak peak into her future.  What do you think she’ll do next?  Here’s a hint:... Read more

Have you ever heard of “shacking up?”  Now, people describe living together with a more complimentary phrase: “a trial marriage.” And apparently, it’s all the rage: Cohabitation in the United States has increased by more than 1,500 percent in the past half century. In 1960, about 450,000 unmarried couples lived together. Now the number is more than 7.5 million. The majority of young adults in their 20s will live with a romantic partner at least once, and more than half... Read more

Americans experience “sticker shock” every time they go to the gas station to fill up their vehicle.  I certainly do. I drive a truck in Alaska.  Here, you have to drive something big and safe to meet the challenges of icy roads, moose collisions, hauling family members, and carrying equipment.  (Before you even start writing your snarky comments, don’t tell me to trade my truck in for a goofy little Volt – I doubt a Volt would even have enough... Read more

The best thing about the holidays is getting together with family.  But when my family gets together, it’s a real crowd.  Here we are on Easter. One things for sure — we didn’t have to worry about the chocolate in the eggs melting. Can you spot me? Mom? Dad? Click on the photo to enlarge! Just now, Rick Santorum suspended his Presidential campaign, after a weekend at the hospital with his three year old daughter Bella. As you probably are aware, Bella was born with Trisomy 18 — a genetic disorder similar to Down syndrome that’s caused her short life to be an ongoing battle. No matter who you support for President in 2012, you have to admire how Sen. Santorum champions life – he fights for it in Washington and he fights for it... Read more
