God may have told Michele Bachmann not to run for Al Franken’s old Senate seat, but he’s apparently been busy talking to Cynthia Dunbar, a Christian dominionists who used to be on the Texas Board of Education but now teaches at Liberty University Law School, to run for Congress in Virginia as part of his grand anti-corruption plan.
It seems the more obvious it becomes that Donald Trump is in so far over his head that he could draw a map of Satan’s taint from memory, the more hyperbolic and ridiculous the Christian right gets in singing his praises. Carl Gallups just slobbers all over him:
Apparently one can become the Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court while being either incredibly ignorant of the law or a blatant liar about the law, because Roy Moore falsely told Time magazine that failing to stand for the national anthem is against the law.
One of the bizarre views that Christian fascist Roy Moore holds about the Constitution is identical to the one held by Bryan Fischer, that the religion clauses of the First Amendment apply only to Christianity. He thinks when it says religion, it means Christianity.
Professional liar and fake historian David Barton went on Joe Pagliarulo’s radio show last week and delivered an absolutely bizarre diatribe on statues of Confederate leaders that are found in public places all over the country. See if you can make any sense at all of this:
Last week saw at least the third instance of Trump meeting with a group of Christian right pastors and letting them lay hands on him and pray over him. Most of those pastors were prosperity gospel-preaching con artists, and one of them, Warren Throckmorton points out, is a transparent fraud who claims a fake doctorate.

David Barton, who is now billing himself as “America’s premiere historian” on his radio show, had American University professor Daniel Dreisbach on the show and together they told some bigly whoppers about the non-existent Christian origins of the Constitution. Barton starts with this familiar lie:
