Tony Perkins may be falling down on the job when it comes to making hyperbolic statements and obnoxious comparisons, but at least I can still count on Gorgon Klingenschmitt to bring the stupid. On his Pray in Jesus’ Name show, he said that forcing government employees to actually treat citizens equally under the law is slavery.
Peter Sprigg of the Family Research Council is an extreme bigot, even by Christian right standards. He’s called for the deportation of gay people in the past and said many other truly vile things. On his boss Tony Perkins’ radio show, he made this monumentally stupid argument:

Deranged bigot Frank Gaffney has joined Tony Perkins and many other right wing demagogues in claiming that Dearborn, Michigan is now a “no-go zone” for non-Muslims that is ruled by Sharia law. This will come as a huge surprised to the 60% of people who live in that city who aren’t fucking Muslim.

Ken Blackwell is the latest black conservative to lamely attempt to coopt Martin Luther King and turn him into a right-winger. He does so, predictably, by lying out his ass about him, claiming that he opposed welfare and the separation of church and state.
If you had Tony Perkins in the pool as the next bigoted dumbass to claim that Dearborn, Michigan is a “Muslim no-go zone,” claim your prize. Fox News may have apologized several times for making that claim about Europe, but the real wingnuts are not only still saying it, they’re extending it to Michigan.
Disgraced former Lt. Gen. Jerry Boykin, now a propagandist for the Family Research Council, is not known for his firm grip on reality. In yet another example of a baldfaced lie, Boykin makes the bizarre claim that the police in Dearborn won’t go into Dearborn because of all the Muslims. Or something.
We may be losing Michele Bachmann, but Congressman-elect Barry Loudermilk of Georgia, an acolyte of David Barton, promises to carry on her legacy of stupidity. In an interview with Josh Duggar, filling in for Tony Perkins on the FRC radio show, he staked his claim on the “war on Christmas.”
Rep. Doug Lamborn repeats what has become a mantra on the right, that the Obama administration only cares about gay rights and does nothing about religious freedom for Christians around the world. He was on Tony Perkins’ radio show and, of course, Perkins joined in the lie.
Kamal Saleem, you may recall, is one of a number of fake “ex-terrorists” turned Christian preachers pushing the most inane conspiracy theories about Islam in America. In an appearance on Tony Perkins’ radio show, he actually claimed that America will be taken over by Muslims by 2020.
