Glenn Beck used to be a strident critic of Donald Trump, but as a businessman he has learned which side his bread is buttered on. He’s now gone full-on Trump sycophant, saying on his network that Trump is the last real alpha male left. Well, him and James Bond, a fictional character.
It hasn’t been a good few weeks for poor Gavin McInnes. The network that hosted his show, CRTV, merged with Glenn Beck’s The Blaze and within days the company cut all ties with him. And now Youtube has now banned him, presumably for his long history of encouraging violence by his followers.
I used to be able to make fun of Glenn Beck on an almost daily basis, but for the past many months he’s been curiously absent, a virtual non-entity in the wingnutosphere. Turns out his whole media empire is apparently on the verge of collapse.
How many times can one person claim to have had some huge epiphany and that they’re going to do things totally different from now on? Glenn Beck seems intent on finding out. About once a year he declares that he has learned from his past actions and will now be all about good things. The latest attempt at a reset:
Oh, this just gets better. Now multiple reports say that rather than just suspending her for a week, Glenn Beck has permanently banned — that is, fired — Tomi Lahren from The Blaze. This after self-righteously declaring that he would never fire her — her, specifically — over anything she said because he just believes so much in free speech.
Jesus, you’d think Glenn Beck would have learned his lesson after having to settle a lawsuit with the guy he defamed as a terrorist when he was really the victim of the Boston Marathon bombing. But he’s still pushing that ridiculous conspiracy theory.
The blood feud between Glenn Beck and Alex Jones continues to rage. It seems odd since they seem so much alike, but maybe that’s exactly why they hate each other so much. Maybe it’s a turf war. The latest is Alex Jones calling Beck gay while denying that he’s calling him gay.
Glenn Beck made a rather weird apology/notpology on his show this week for his continual predictions of impending doom. He lamented the fact that he scared children, including his own, with his penchant for wildly exaggerated melodrama. But he still thinks he was right about everything, of course.
Glenn Beck revealed earlier this week that in the aftermath of Ted Cruz’ betrayal of him by endorsing Donald Trump, he will never endorse another candidate again and that he is considering shutting down the radio show and running for public office.
Glenn Beck has settled the lawsuit filed against him by Abdulrahman Alharbi, a Saudi student that Beck slandered by repeatedly claiming that he was the “money man” behind the Boston Marathon bombing when he was actually just an innocent bystander who was injured in the bombing.
Okay, this is kind of a weird story. Glenn Beck apparently spent some time with Mel Gibson recently and he talked on his radio show about it (then had an article about what he said on the radio on his website). He said that Gibson blamed the Jews for being mistreated after he directed The Passion of the Christ.
Here’s another one of those “who the hell do I root for here” scenarios. Glenn Beck is criticizing Milo Yiannopoulos for his continual bullying and harassment of virtually anyone who raises his ire for some reason. I’m going with Beck on this one because he said pretty much the same thing I said the other day:
