Mothers Day

Mothers Day

Today when Dave & the boys took me out for a mothers day lunch at my fave breakfast restaurant I.H.O.P. Dave asked Ran to tell me what he loved most about me being his Mama.

My dear 4.5 yr. old Ransom, said:

“I love you Mama b/c you give me hugs.”

“I love you Mama because I love spending time with you, especially when we build battle stations together.  You build the best battle stations, Mama, but sometimes mine are even better.”

“I love you Mama because your the best Mama & I wouldn’t want any other Mama than you.”

“I love you Mama even when you spank me.”

“I love you Mama even when you give me food I don’t like and make me eat vegtables on my pizza.”

After that he asked for a “Mother’s Day story,” in which Dave made up a really cute story about a little baby alien named Ransom searching for a Mama.  In the story he described all of the things they both loved about me (which had me & Ran chuckling), & finally little baby alien Ransom picks me!  What do you know?! 🙂

It was very sweet. It’s been a great day.

After dinner, the hubster is giving me a break to go sit at Panera & do some writing tonight.  As you know, I’m always super excited about having alone time, so this is the BEST possible gift my hubby could give me.  I think he’s happy b/c it’s costing him nothing more than the price of a muffin & a cup of coffee. 🙂

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all the lovely mothers out there.  Ya know, we really are amazing.  Just own it.  🙂 signature
