When I read Doug Wilsonβs spiritual and moral game of Twister on his blog Blog and Mablog I sometimes envy him his blatant stupidity. It must be a comfortable world to only see things in super simplistic binary terms. A wrong world, but a place where you arenβt challenged, and you donβt grow in understanding. No straining your brain trying to make sense of the beautiful madness that is life.
Here Doug says that discrimination is not a bad thing. Only partially true at best. Itβs good to be able to determine a spoiled fish from a fresh one, or the best buy among a number of items. Thatβs a profitable skill. But when you apply the same discrimination against human beings who are different than you itβs an awful idea. No matter how Doug wraps it in a Bible verse.
Then Doug goes on to talk about how holy it is to discriminate it is, in the name of God of course.
Then Doug goes on to claim you cannot discriminate against a people group for any reason, and adds on you can if they arenβt βHolyβ. And we end up with a rant on abortion.
Doug goes on to use this sick line of black and white thinking to put down feminism and pine for the good old days of Jim Crow. This man is a respected pastor? I donβt see how.
