Yet again Doug Wilson is taking word-salady pot-shots at homosexuality. He’s upset about the same conference that Tim Bayly was freaking out about yesterday. Wilson is upset by the idea that the conference speaker and author Wesley Hill and the Revoice conference supports people who are gay and Christian. Someone grab the smelling salts and Victorian fainting couch for Doug before he collapses. Doug Wilson’s homophobia is firmly on display here.

Doug is claiming that is, along with the Me Too movement and everything else in culture is dooming us to only he knows what type of coming glitter apocalypse. Just a sample of Doug’s ideas:

I am sorry, but I am liking the photo of the unicorn guy. He looks like fun from here. Doug reads this as ‘gay’ obviously, while it speaks nothing to gender and everything about being who you really are without fear.

We’ve escaped those toxic limiting little boxes that the church leadership tried to make us live in during our Quiverfull Evangelical days. None of us are going back into them and this frightens guys like Doug tremendously. It reduces their power and influence so bring on the scare tactics. If fear is your only tactic to control your people you have a bigger problem than some man dressed up like a pastel unicorn.
