Larry Solomon of Biblical Gender Roles must be synced up to Lori Alexander of The Transformed Wife as both of them are posting about sex in marriage today. Hive minds, man. Lori is promoting that giving sex upon demand will cheat proof your marriage, provided your man does not have a porn addiction. Larry is yammering on answering a lady with a sex question. She’s upset that she caught her husband masturbating and wants to know the why. Larry breaks it down all the reasons men masturbate and why it does not really matter.
But that is not the thing I’m quoting here. This comes from a post by Larry he linked to as suggested reading from three years ago. He gives reasons why husbands will not want to have sex with wives and gets to this reason. His answer pretty much states because fat women do not deserve sex.
One of Larry’s other claims is that a man who does not want to have sex with his wife is having homosexual tendencies. Lovely.
I would love to know what Larry’s body type is. There are just as many, sometimes seems like more, obese men out there as women. With big bulging bellies, bald spots and back fat stacked up like so many layers of squishy frozen yogurt straight out of the soft serve. Yet no one tries to hold them to any standard of thinness or attraction. Not a word is said, it’s all about wives that must keep model thin.
Larry and others do not seem to ‘get’ that it’s what works for individual couples. We age, things sag or bulge or wrinkle or get hair, or lose hair, but the people we fell in love with are still the same people on the inside. Mature people realize that you cannot fight time. That goes for both sexes.
So be attractive, but not too attractive. Larry does not say it, but we’ve all seen in Fundytown that men do not like it if you are attractive enough to appeal to…duh duh duh…other men.
Larry then goes on to say that while scripture does not come right out and say that women must strive to be attractive it still means that they must because Bible. They must stay attractive because they are brides of Christ and respect their husbands by staying attractive. Again, not one iota of advice to the husband on staying as thin, muscular, and handsome as in his twenties. The wife should look like a Barbie doll but it does not matter if the man looks like Jabba the Hut.
