Recently both Zsuzsanna and her husband Steven Anderson have been relatively quiet. Both have moved on to YouTube as their primary means of promoting their toxic version of the “New” IFB (Independent Fundamentalist Baptist) and their Facebook accounts instead of their blogs. You can watch Steven mispronounce in Greek, blabber out his sermons, and get tased at YouTube, while his wife tackles mothering IFB style.
Just the other day over at Zsu’s Facebook she was outraged and ranting over a story about two babies dying right after being vaccinated with the MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella) shot.
We all know Zsu is anti vax. She’s certainly spent enough time shouting about it on her blog Are They All Yours?.
But what she hasn’t done with this story is actually bother researching what happened at all. If it fits Zsuzsanna’s anti vax, (and truthfully almost most flat earth lack of science like the rest of the cultural enforcers like Lori Alexander,) views then that’s all she needs to know.
This story happened last year, not recently, and it happened in Samoa. The doses came out of the exact same vial and later it was determined it was an error by the nurses involved that caused the deaths. NOT the vaccination material themselves. Human error. Which does happen sadly enough. I repeat again, human error.
It’s sad when babies die. But it does not mean that vaccines are unsafe, no matter what Zsu thinks. I’m not going to drag out or repeat all of the reams of legitimate studies and materials that show vaccines do work within safe boundaries, but it is out there. Patheo’s Katie Joy has done tremendous work showing the massive amount of data out there supporting the safety and legitimacy of vaccinations.
What’s so awful here is that Zsuzsanna and others are using incomplete data, spurious reports and lack of scientific evidence to promote all sorts of sketchy things instead of established science. They are also educating their children to believe the same falsehoods and promote them as the truth, spreading the disinformation.
Think I’m joking? Look at the number of people promoting the idea of a flat earth?
