Doug Wilson – Show Your Woman Who is Boss?

Doug Wilson – Show Your Woman Who is Boss? 2022-03-01T17:15:10-04:00

This is a meme that has been circulating around Facebook from one of Doug Wilson of Blog and Mablog’s abusive books. He does not actually come out and say to beat your wife, or scream, yell, shout and stomp around her, control her spending by giving her no money, browbeat her constantly, and treat her like a child. But know that this is the subcontext lurking just belong Wilson’s words. Be the Big Boss and put her in her place all the time.

And I ask yet again, where is Christ in all of this nonsense? Nowhere that I can tell. This implied winking and nodding at abuse does not even line up with the harsh words of Paul. It’s strictly a weak man’s twisting of the Bible to make himself feel all powerful and mighty, because nothing else does.

Abuse comes in many hidden forms.
