The “ladies” (though nothing in their behavior or rhetoric seems very lady-like to me) of the View have once again unleashed their inner middle school girl.
This time their target was Presidential Candidate Carly Fiorina.
National Review recounts:
[…] Michelle Collins took out her ugly stick again to trash 61-year-old Carly Fiorina’s visage. “She looked demented! Her mouth did not downturn one time,” the smug Collins exclaimed as her own petty, potty mouth twisted into an unmistakable snarl.
Self-admitted moron Behar, who has frequently bragged about her own Botox shots, chimed in: “I wish it was a Halloween mask. I’d love that.” […]
Undaunted, the beastly Collins continued to pile on as the collective tittering swelled: “Smiling Fiorina? Can you imagine? It’d give me nightmares.”
When co-host Paula Faris meekly suggested that “demented is a strong word,” head bully Whoopi Goldberg insisted that “as a comic we have to stand up for the words we use.”
Never mind that these are the same women who defended Carly several weeks ago after Donald Trump made similar comments about Carly’s appearance. The irony seems completely lost on them.
They boastfully claim to be pro-woman, unless of course that woman is a successful, poised, thoughtful conservative woman. If a woman doesn’t fit the extreme liberal mold that they have created, then their claws come out and they get downright nasty.
If they were as right as they seem to think that they are, you would think they wouldn’t be so scared of a conservative woman.
I LOVE Carly’s response to their petty, Mean Girl comments:
What these women represent is a set of liberal feminists who believe that if you do not agree with them on their liberal orthodoxy then you don’t count- then somehow you are not a woman.
You see I know that women represent half the nation, so of course our views are going to be as diverse as men’s. I also know that unless and until women’s potential is fully unlocked in this country, and women have been crushed under the Obama economy, that we will not be as good of nation that we can be.
And frankly, I am tired of being insulted by liberal feminists who talk about women’s issues when the reality is that every issue is a woman’s issue- from the economy, to ISIS, to Russia, to healthcare, to education, to national debt- women care about all of that.
So I am really sorry that I do not agree with the women of The View. Nevertheless I am going to continue to stand up, stand strong, and talk about what I believe in. And I am Hillary Clinton’s worst nightmare as a result.”
In true classy fashion- something with which the women of The View seem unfamiliar- Carly’s response was fiery but respectful. She elevated the conversation to the issues that really matter in this election.
Way to go, Carly! And for the record, we all think you are BEAUTIFUL!
