Is what St Laurence is supposed to have said as he was being slowly roasted on a gridiron. I like his other one liner better: When asked to bring forth the treasures of the church he pointed to the crowd of poor people and said, “These are the treasures of the Church.”

If only we could see the poor that way! To see them as treasures rather than burdens!
