New Year’s Resolutions 2015

New Year’s Resolutions 2015 December 22, 2014

As 2014 comes to an end I am thinking about my goals for the new year. These are my resolutions for 2015…

1) Spending more time at the temple

Since I moved I’m actually closer to the temple but my mind is still stuck thinking of it as so far away. It feels like such an epic trek to get there. I want to make it a priority to get to the temple every weekend and maybe start volunteering to help out there.

2) Daily pujas

I was doing daily pujas for a while and I’ve drifted away from the practice through life getting busy and I want to get back to it. It’s a very centering practice and reminds me of the high priority that the Gods have in my life.

3) Doing more volunteer work

I really think it is crucial that people associate Hindus with compassion and help. I think Hindus need to be visibly a part of caring for the poor and the hungry. I want to find ways to get involved in move volunteer work.

But of course as much as I like to work on improving myself, it’s important to remember that at our core we are already perfect! We have everything we need already within us.
