Life: Choose It

As I’ve mentioned, I love reading my Bible, especially if some verses really jump out at me.  When they do, I’ll share them with ya!

Here’s the latest:

The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, but violence overwhelms the mouth of the wicked.” Proverbs 10:11

The part about “the mouth of the righteous” being the “fountain of life” totally reminds me of the wonderful activists in the pro-life movement!!!

On the other hand, it also makes me picture pro-abortion advocates and the violence they preach… it just makes me sick.  They have “mouths of the wicked,” because they  and spew so much violence toward people who are only trying to protect innocent life.

Choose life.

    How anyone could advocate for the taking of innocent life, is beyond me. The blood of millions of slaughtered babies is on their hands. And there will come a day when they will be forced to give an account for their murderous deeds. You can take that to the bank.

        It’s really all about control, coercion, and government intrusion into every aspect of our lives. This is what the pro-baby-murder people don’t get: they’re all just pawns for power-hungry liberals. And when a liberal gains power, everyone loses some freedom. It’s sad really.

            You probably worry about frivolous stuff like starving children, clean water and prenatal care.

    Sadly there seems to be enough hate spewed from both sides. The clinic that I go to for my annual exams performs abortions. They are by far the kindest team of medical professionals that I have encountered yet. I have always been pro-life, but anymore I hesitate to associate myself with the pro-life movement. I have heard some of the most hateful speech come from the mouths of those claiming to be doing God’s work.

    I can think of several instances of “pro-life” activists committing violence, including murder, against abortion providers, but I’m not aware of any case where the reverse is true. Can somebody here enlighten me, if I’m mistaken?

    Thats the nice thing about verses that jump out at you – you get to spout them off in a grand exercise of Cherry Pickin Self Righteousness 101

    You conveniently choose to then ignore all the stabby choppy blood and slaughter bits in the exact same book where that genocidal death god called yaweh gets his brain dead followers to slaughter men women and children, as well as all their livestock, just cos he says so. That or just gets his so called angels to do the slaughtering. Or in at least one case just does the dirty work himself and floods the world killing untold innocents to punish the sinners, or is a little more selective and just murders all the firstborn in Egypt so his bunch of deadhead followers can leave. Or….. on and on and on.

    And how about that verse that didnt jump out at you…. you know…. the one about women being silent and not acting as teachers? Missed that one didnt you?

    Listen Bristol, here is a lesson your half term mom seems to be blind to:

    Here’s another verse that “jumps out” at me. Apparently, the just punishment for disobeying your parents is death by stoning.

    If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother … Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city … And they shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard. And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die. Deuteronomy 21:18-21

    Or, how about this one? Death by stoning for not being a virgin on your wedding night. Of course, this only applies to women.

    If any man take a wife, and go in unto her, and hate her … and say, I took this woman, and when I came to her, I found her not a maid: Then shall the father of the damsel, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens of the damsel’s virginity unto the elders of the city in the gate: And the damsel’s father shall say … these are the tokens of my daughter’s virginity. And they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city. … But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel: Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die. Deuteronomy 22:13-21

    If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her; Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city. Deuteronomy 22:23-24

    Abortions should be allowed in circumstances like young teen parents, rape, when baby will be extremely disabled or will die shortly after birth, if mum is at risk of abuse or an addict, or if the pregnancy poses a serious health risk to mum and baby. Prolifers like to say they care about life, but if that was true you would consider the life that already exists – the mother above a potential life that could die or be miscarried at any given moment. I too am a christian, but i believe in love thy neighbour, the pregnant woman is my neighbour, not a fetus who is unborn, has never lived and is not alive until birth, as until the umbilical cord is cut, a fetus is simply a parasite living off it’s mother’s nutrients and air.

    necklace) All it does is expose the fact that they are pro-abortion, not
    pro-choice. I choose life.
