Black American seeks refuge in Canada, because of police violence. Check out how Canada responded.

Some people just don’t get it.

Reports this week covered how Kyle Canty, an African-American man, applied for refugee status in Canada.

While millions of Christians and other religious minorities are fleeing their homelands because they are being exterminated in the Middle East due to Islamic terrorists, this African-American man with multiple misdemeanor charges in multiple U.S. states is seeking refugee status.

For what?

He claims he’s a refugee due to police brutality and racism in the United States.

But the Washington Post just came out with findings from a year long study that prove that Canty’s “fears” are completely unfounded.  David French at National Review explains:

In response to the allegations of Black Lives Matter activists, the Washington Post launched an unprecedented, case-by-case study of police shootings. After a year of research, the data are in, and they confirm the conservative position: The police use force mainly to protect human life, the use of force against unarmed suspects is rare, and the use of force against black Americans is largely proportional to their share of the violent crime rate.

[…] The kinds of shootings that launched the Black Lives Matter movement — white police officers killing unarmed black men — represent “less than 4 percent of fatal police shootings.” … There are individual racist cops, and there are departments that will close ranks behind corrupt colleagues. But the chances of an innocent black man being gunned down by racist cops are vanishingly small. And that is good news indeed.

Canada’s government seems to have probably read this report, because they rejected Canty’s refugee application citing that he didn’t have a “well-founded” fear of persecution in his home country.

After this rejection, Canty said he doesn’t want to go to Canada anymore anyway because he is disillusioned with the Canadians now, but he still “hates America.”

Gosh, how can I reach out to the Canadian government and ask them to reconsider their decision?

If you hate America so much, then buy a one-way ticket and leave. But in the mean time, maybe you should take a look at what is happening to those who are being targeted and exterminated by ISIS right now, and count your blessings.
