Living in the Tension Gathering – Dec 9

For our next Living in the Tension gathering on Monday, December 9th, a friend of ours will be sharing about her journey as a parent with her son after he came out to her as gay. She will be sharing about the questions and experiences that she has been processing through as both a Christian and a mother with God and her son.

We will be meeting in on 5255 N Ashland Ave. in Room 124 at 7pm. If you’re available beforehand, we will be grabbing a bit to eat and hanging out at Jerry’s Sandwiches on 5419 N Clark St. at 5:15pm.

About Andrew Marin

Andrew Marin is President and Founder of The Marin Foundation ( He is the award winning author of two books and a DVD curriculum, and his new book 86%: Groundbreaking Research on the LGBT Community and Religion, will release November 2015. Since 2010 Andrew has been asked by the United Nations to advise their various agencies on issues of bridging opposing worldviews, civic engagement, and theological aspects of reconciliation. He is currently based St. Andrews, Scotland where he is researching and teaching at the University of St. Andrews, earning his PhD in Constructive Theology and Ethics. His research focuses on the theology and praxis of social reconciliation between victims and their perpetrators.
