Living in the Tension 6/23 – Pride Parade Planning Meeting June 20, 2014

If you live in the Chicagoland area please join us for our upcoming Living in the Tension gathering on Monday, June 23rd. We will meet at 7pm in Room 124 at 5255 N Ashland Avenue. If you’re available beforehand, we will meet at Lady Gregory’s on 5260 N Clark St at 5:15 pm to grab a bite to eat and hang out.

This week’s gathering is a planning meeting for those wanting to participate in the “I’m Sorry” Campaign at the Chicago Pride Parade on Sunday, June 29th. If you want to help us with the I’m Sorry Campaign it is mandatory that you attend this meeting.  If you cannot attend, please email Ian Brown at 10ianbrown@gmail.com

We will be selling the “I’m Sorry” t-shirts that participants should wear for the parade at this meeting. T-shirts are $20 each and proceeds go directly to The Marin Foundation. Please bring cash or check.

We hope to see you there!

Much love,

The Marin Foundation

These gatherings are an opportunity for anyone who is interested in the intersection of faith, culture, and sexuality to come together and safely discuss these divisive topics. In these meetings you will find members of the LGBTQ community, Christian community, and other communities, from gay Christians, those pursuing celibacy, atheists, and ex-gays t0 liberal and conservative straight Christians and straight non-Christians.  We all willfully enter into a place of constructive tension, intentionally forming a community that struggles through difficult topics in a peaceful and productive manner.
