With a Grain of Salt

Convert Peter has a great little post about the Pope. Like that song from Oklahoma! “With me it’s all or nuthin’, is it all or nuthin’ with you…”

Peter says you have to choose about the Pope: is he the anti-Christ or is he who is says he is: the successor of Peter and the bearer of the keys of the kingdom. You can’t just think he’s a nice guy and a good Christian leader. Once you start thinking about it you have to eventually make a choice.

  • As a regular reader of your blog I saw the pic (a new Benny pic for my collection) and thought “Oh cool, someone else has been posting on this topic” before realising, with a mixture of dissapointment and delight, that it was my post you were referring to. *chuckle* If anyone out there has a personal story about their heart warming to either of our most recent Popes I would love to read about it!Keep up the great work Father!

  • In clearing out my Dad’s house, we found stuff Dad had saved from Pope JPII’s visit to Iowa in 1979. I got the stuff! (My sibs swam the channel and are piskie now.)I was too young to appreciate it back then…a freshman in high school in that dry desert of the post V2 church without devotion or catechesis, singing in the choir to make it bearable, fleeing at the first possible moment.THAT MAN! Wait a minute, this is more than a combox comment…it’s turning in to a blog post…check out my new bloghttp://apostolicanchoress.blogspot.com
