Glenn Beck loves to claim that he’s the only one who really knows the future and expresses his frustration that others can’t see it too. God has given him this great insight, but to show you just how humble a guy he really is, Glenn wishes he didn’t have to be the Lord’s spokesman.
Right Wing Watch notes that last year Glenn Beck was talking about how he was tired of politics and he was going to stop talking about it and change his focus. But then on his show Monday, he declared that no Republican candidate had a chance of winning the nomination if they don’t come on his show.
Wow, color me surprised. Glenn Beck has come out with all guns blazing at Ben Carson, calling his claim that prison sex proves that being gay is a choice “the dumbest thing I’ve ever had” and saying that it may well kill Carson’s ambition to win the Republican presidential nomination.
Glenn Beck’s vastly inflated sense of his own importance was put on stark display once again on Tuesday when he said that a speech he gave in 2010 could have saved the country if only people would have listened to him. Because he speaks for God himself, dontchaknow.
After the FCC voted to uphold net neutrality this week, Glenn Beck, who has said that if that happened the country deserves to be destroyed by God, absolutely lost his shit on his show. He yelled at those who support net neutrality, calling them morons and useful idiots. Because, ya know, commies.
Glenn Beck is jumping on the right wing’s outrage du jour, the claim that President Obama doesn’t “love America” (whatever the fuck that could possibly mean). He agrees with Rudy Giuliani that Obama doesn’t have a “deep, stirring love” of America like Glenn himself does.
Glenn Beck just loves to tell us how he prophecied everything that happens. If only we’d listened to him, we would have seen this all coming and so we should listen to him now when he tells us that it’s the END OF THE WORLD. Like most apocalyptic preachers, though, he just keeps changing the story to fit current events.
Glenn Beck is one of those conservatives making the absolutely idiotic argument that net neutrality will somehow end up silencing them (it has nothing to do with that, of course). And he says that if the FCC does enforce net neutrality — that is, leave the internet like it always has been — then America deserves to be destroyed.
I find it hilarious that Glenn Beck dismisses Alex Jones as a conspiracy nut that should be ignored when he routinely pushes the exact same conspiracies as Jones. For instance, he told his audience last week that the current measles outbreak is a hoax designed to get people to obey the government.
Glenn Beck is once again selling paranoia, getting all weepy-eyed and melodramatic over the impending Nazi regime that will take over the entire globe. Any minute now, they’re going to start rounding up Jews and Christians and taking them to the concentration camps. Aaaaaaaaaaaaany minute now.
The schools in Orange County, Florida decided not to allow a Bible giveaway this year because doing so allows non-Christian groups to hand out literature as well and Glenn Beck is hopping mad about it. He says that if Christianity is not given preferential treatment, we’re committing “national suicide.” Because that’s totally reasonable.
Glenn Beck interviewed the woman who destroyed that Satanist display at the Florida state capitol in Tallahassee and praised her to high heaven, saying he wishes he would have the “courage” she showed in committing vandalism and violating the law in the name of God.
