Kate Hunt has managed to get on with her life – we hope. She is cute, pretty, pert, blond, and claims to be a lesbian, or at least bi. She had no claim to being a Christian. So, that’s in her favor. Because she claimed to be a lesbian, her cause was adopted by good liberals everywhere. Because the child she molested and stalked, violating numerous court orders came from a Christian background, her parents were treated like dirt.

There is a double standard in this country. It is getting worse every day. If a person is openly a Christian, it is license for them to be treated like dirt. If Josh Duggar were an atheist, he would now be a cause celeb. He says he’s a Christian.

Frankly, I find the Duggar family creepy. I’ve always thought were were incestuous over-tones in the family, the way Jim Bob discussed sex with his daughters and their fiances before they were married. It was disgusting. There is something repulsive about the family, and it isn’t because they are anti-gay. But, in all fairness, Josh Duggar needs to be given the same benefit of the doubt by the same liberals who embraced the cause of Kate Hunt. Fat chance that.

Oh, geez, when a 14-year-old boy plays hot and heavy with a 13-year-old girl in the state of Arkansas, it is considered “Romeo & Juliette”. It is not illegal. I think that’s a reasonable law. No children that age need to be playing hot and heavy, let alone anything else, but to have a child listed as a sex offender for the rest of his/her life is far more criminal. We know Josh did this. That’s life.

What is truly disturbing is the fact that he evidently repeatedly did the same thing with 4 of his sisters. I’m sorry, but this reeks of something seriously wrong in that family. It is a given that Jim Bob would go to the godly elders of his church. They would handle the situation and keep the cops out of it. This is SOP for that bunch. BUT – when you have a child who is doing this to 4 of your daughters, what the hell kind of parent would even allow the kid to remain in their home? He fondled his sisters. A kid fondles his sisters because there is a pedophile in the woodwork in or around his or her home.

And so, Josh says that he realized doing this sort of thing would mess up his life. There was no regret for what he did. The family had no compassion for the girls. He had no compassion or regret for the girls – only himself. Yea, there’s a word for that: sociopath. They’re made, not born. I suspect he was made into one, by someone close to home.

Can’t anyone cry for this young man? What we’re going to see is the circling of the wagons in some groups, and the damnation of the young man in another. Neither side will be right. Those who condemned Kate Hunt are most likely going to defend Josh Duggar. Those who defended Kate Hunt will damn Josh Duggar. Both are tragic figures. I fear, though, Kate Hunt might have a better outcome than this young man will. At least those of us who felt what Kate Hunt did was wrong, have had the grace (many of us) to also have compassion for. Those of us who are Christians have been quite open about praying for she and her family. Let’s be honest here, those who defended Kate Hunt are going to do their very best to destroy Josh Duggar. While I do think certain liberal causes are well worth embracing, one thing I have a very difficult time dealing with is the unrelenting hatred of Christians by a certain segment. And no, they’re not atheists. A good atheist isn’t going to hate. These people are something else entirely. They disgust me as much as white supremacists disgust me. Frankly, they are no different. Hate is hate. Period.
