Women Destroying Medical Professions?

Women Destroying Medical Professions?

Wow, remember a few days ago when I said Lori Alexander had gotten stale, repetitive and dull with the exception of when she was claiming marital rape wasn’t a real thing? She’s managed to find a completely new way to repackage her β€˜Women must not work!!!’ message. Now she wants to put down female doctors for having educations, taking jobs away from men, and β€˜neglecting’ their children by healing other people while they work. This is the first time in a very long time that I’ve seen such old-fashioned gender essentialism used against female doctors.

I hope Lori never needs a woman doctor to treat her much discussed brain tumor. There are occasionally specialists who are one of a kind best at their specialty in the world.

While Lori might have a slight point about how female doctors are more likely to work part time, the rest is just pure drivel. During my years I’ve had a handful of women doctors, some of whom chose to either stop working or work part time when they became mothers, but most managed to treat their patients well and juggle family life. In the mind of Lori Alexander women are innately handicapped just by being born with a vagina. Gonads do not determine how effective we will be in our lives, but old-fashioned assumptions, mental illness and elitism can.
