When Awful Cultural Enforcers Collide – Lori Alexander and Vaughn Ohlman

Birds of toxic feathers stick together. The king and queen of bad extra Biblical assumptions have apparently started teaming up. Recently Vaughn Ohlman has been crawling from under his apple-besmirched 12 year olds marrying rock to kiss the rear ends of various bad actors. Like Lori, like Biblical Gender Roles Larry Solomon, and a pile of others. Vaughn, like a poisonous spider, climbs out whenever the coast is clear. It’s been a few years since his cancelled teen marriage retreat and bad girls as apples analogies.

Interestingly here it is Lori who is the most toxic and unreasonable.Β  What Von is suggesting to do to be ready for marriage is reasonable. Not the entire picture, no, but certainly two important parts although I have to say you should know your own medical history by the time you are marriageable age.

You have no business being married if you do not understand basic first aid or how to run a household, the basics of course. No one is expected to be an expert as something they haven’t done before.

So now Vaughn has managed to marry off all six. When he married off his eldest the son was in his early twenties. Wondering the ages of the daughters married off.

Where Vaughn goes wrong is that The Transformed Wife Lori Alexander seems likely to not know is his stated many times belief that if a girl has developed breasts she is marriageable. That is truly frightening because we have seen many times it can happen as early as 11 or 12 years old. I know of no 12 year old girls emotionally, mentally or physically ready for marriage. Do you?

Vaughn and Lori both promote early marriage, but Von takes it to the extreme. I think Lori at least expects everyone should have a high school diploma and be legally an adult.

Taking a look at the book Lori is promoting to Vaughn is the scariest part in all this. β€œHow to Raise a Healthy Child in Spite of Your Doctor” by Dr. Robert MendelsohnΒ is a book written back in the early 1980s and filled with ideas that are outdated and could easily lead to the death of your child. He does not believe in testing or treating PKU or treating fevers. He is anti vaccine. I cannot imagine a pediatrician who is anti life saving vaccines. The advice in the book is almost entirely quackery. He made an entire career out of trying to convince people that their doctors were only out to rob and kill them.

Mendelsohn has been discredited by many of the members of the AMA. He is now deceased, but that old book of his is still being heavily promoted by the anti vaccine crowd.

Lori is promoting a book that was new back when her kids were young. That would be like you taking your greatgrandmother’s advice that eating watermelon gives people fevers and ague.
