There is not much as twisted in this world that Larry Solomon of Biblical Gender Roles ideas on what constitutes good and bad women. Today he is complaining that high school girls in Maryland found out of the existence of a list ranking their physical attractiveness and protested to the school.

Let me get this straight. Teenaged boys decided to compile a list on the looks of their female classmates and the very girls being discussed do not want to be treated as objects. Seems reasonable. No one wants to be thought of as merely a sex object to be used. It’s very misogynistic at best.

Larry does not believe so. Larry thinks the girls are exhibiting hatred of men, wrongful hatred of men by objecting to the harassment and objectification. Even after the girls said that they felt violated by the list.

It’s one thing when you have a few giggling teenage boys discussing who they have crushes on, but an entirely different level of toxic masculinity, harassment and inappropriate behavior when it takes the form of an organized listing of their classmates. What would Larry say if it was all the girls in the school rating the psychical attractiveness and bed-ability of those same boys? He’d be, rightly, screaming misandry.

This is not misandry to not wish to be ranked, rated and judged like this. Unfortunately Larry does not understand that words do not mean what he thinks they should:

“Gay” may date as far back as the 19th century according to some linguists to describe homosexuals. Not some liberal plot. It was adopted by the LGBT as a descriptor.

The term “Liberal” in the political sense came to be as it is used now back in 1815. Not recently, not a plot. Larry would be well advised to actually research the years these words came into common usage instead of just making stupid things up to rant about.

These are just a few of the long list of words and terms Larry decides to mangle and misunderstand in his eagerness to say girls have no rights over who behaves like a creep around them. But ultimately we end up here.

Here’s the thing. Any man sexually objectifying women is wrong. These are UNDERAGE girls Larry-boy is discussing here, so it goes from just plain old vanilla wrong to possibly illegal. It should be stopped if this is happening in the school.

When will men realize that women deserve respect, to be treated as more than walking vaginas? I can hardly believe that Larry would like his teenage daughter to be treated this way, or his wife. This is misogynist behavior no matter what name Larry gives it. I have a lot of names for it, from creep to sexual predator with many in between.

Wrapping it in the Bible is even more disgusting.

Not wishing to be viewed as a piece of meat is not man-hating. It’s demanding to be treated with the respect one deserves.
