Remember that long ongoing law suit where Josh Duggar is accused of buying a property there was not clear title to? Attorney and Duggar family friend Travis W. Story has officially been removed from the law suit as Joshβs attorney of record. Why? Well it looks like because Story and Josh have made something of a career of avoiding cooperating with the courts. From KNWA.
In the two-page order, the judge begins by stating the difficulty in getting the case completed. βPart of the difficulty has been the failure of ALB Investments, LLC, to comply with the discovery provisions.β
The document then mentions the courtβs order of Contempt and for Sanctions on December 17, 2019, against ALB Investments, LLC, and six hearings on the matter:
- June 11, 2019
- July 25, 2019
- September 3, 2019
- November 12, 2019
- December 5, 2019
- December 16, 2019
Whoopsie! This would seem to indicate that Josh takes business laws, ethics, law suits and courts as seriously as he has taken his marriage vows in the past. Not seriously at all. One or two moral slips anyone can do, but when it becomes a pattern of behavior like this it is concerning.
Still no word on why Homeland Security raided his car lot back in the fall.
Here is what IΒ find utterly fascinating.Β The Duggars et al claim to be on the moral high ground of Biblical living, yet they do so many squishy quasi-legal dealings in the business world.
