No Longer Quivering
Those pesky demons are busy today, what with video games and now being accused of causing mental illness.
I decided instead of holding this back until tomorrow morning to post it now. It’s from Lori Alexander’s super secret roach coach chatroom. She posits that mental illness might be demonic, asking her fan base what they think. I have blurred out the names and images of those dealing with depression. But everyone needs to see who out there holds the dangerous unscientific notion of demons. I am infuriated seeing this yet again a few days after reliving our failed deliverance ministry experience where my husband had cancerous tumors, not demons, driving his depression. There has to be a special place in hell for these folks that want to blame those that suffer from depression for their problems instead of the many very real things that drive depression.
This is the evil that flourishes in the darkness of the secret chatroom. Lori is trolling for opinions so that she can write a post in a few days for her blog about demons causing mental illness.
Of all the things fundamentalist Christian religion gets wrong this one is positively the worst. It is a theology with a body count of people killing themselves because other Christians say they are demon addled when it’s usually a chemical imbalance in the brain, or other medical reasons that can dealt with by medicine. You’re not demon addled, you are sick, sick in the same way as someone with cancer, or a cold, or COVID 19. Legitimately physically ill. Please see a doctor, not an exorcist!

Early today one of my friends wrote up this list of narcissistic behaviors that flourish in the church. I don’t know if Lori is an narcissist, but some of these behaviors seem to fit so well. And not just her. They fit with certain others in that world, and even among a few YouTube bloggers as well.
