A Sigil To Foster Stability

In these turbulent times, much of our mental, emotional, and even physical well-being hinges on having some sort of stability. Within the word stability, we find “ability” – power to be able to make the next move, to plan for the future or at least hold your ground in the present. Stability helps provide a foundation for us to build upon, to discover solace, to be able to heal or find respite.

With all of this in mind, the students in my July 25th Sigil Witchery workshop collectively crafted the Foster Stability Sigil. This sigil works at both the root level for the individual while also being community-invested for long-term growth and stability.

Built Into This Sigil:
– Promote good health
– Provide for steady/stable prosperity and resources
– Peace (found through justice/root growth)
– Supporting upcoming generations/building a worthy legacy
– Balance
– Thriving Growth
– Ease of Transition/Adaptability
– Resilience and strength

Design Notes:
After the workshop was done and I went to finalize the art for this sigil, I compared it to the other sigils recently made in this online workshops. It was neat to see common elements and motifs throughout many of these pandemic sigils. (See “More Sigils Like This One” below. I believe that speaks to the power of the marks and their meanings to embody the intentions of the sigil crafters. As a larger, diverse community, we’re still seeking common goals and holding similar hopes/beliefs for the future. It can be hard to keep that in mind when the media is promoting divisiveness from a very small group of people.

How to Use This Sigil:
You are welcome to use this sigil however you see fit that is in alignment with the intent of the sigil.
Ideas for use:
– draw or carve on a candle (green, blue, brown, or white suggested)
– use as a meditation focus
– draw outside or even within your place of residence (can be done visibly with chalk or invisibly with blessed water, incense, etc).

Please note: When sharing this sigil (or any other sigil you find on this blog), please be sure to include the link to the blog post. The sigil works best if people understand precisely what went into it, versus just sharing the image and telling people to use it.
