Beef in Drinks?

I came across this article this week:

I can’t even imagine how one would use beef in any form in juice drinks. That is so disturbing.

It’s frustrating that beef and other animal parts show up in so many unexpected products. Things you’d think would definitely be vegetarian often turn out to be not. Vegetable soup, for example, often uses a beef broth. WHY? It turns out that french fries are sometimes cooked in beef juices.
