Those ‘Williamson’ film reviews…

A reader comments on my SSPX spoof film reviews:

Most of my mom’s family is in the SSPX and they all believe this stuff. I mean they think that 99% of all disney movies are bad. They don’t like Bambi because it is anti-hunter, Dumbo because he is guided by a male character into fame and his mother does not help him at all, Robin Hood because he steals and loves Maid Marian and there is never a wedding, etc… It is silly. I feel bad for them that they have to be so silly.

When reality exceeds satire, the satirist is unemployed.

It sort of begs the question, is there any recourse but prayer for folks trapped in this righteous mindset?

I would sure hate to see what they think of Mulan, Pocohontas, The Little Mermaid, or Beauty and the Beast

There is one thing you people don’t know. SSPX is a covert Vatican organization. Williamson is it’s agent. It has one and only one reason for existence. That is, to make Catholic Church look good. And boy, it has done a great job.

Williamson may be a bit of a nut but I would take him any day over 90 percent of the American bishops, including my own, who promote wimmin priests and sodomy without correction.

Williamson isn’t a bit of a nut, he’s a whole freakin’ nut tree unto himself. If (big if) the SSPX as a whole is ever re-united with Rome, I fear that Williamson and whatever moon-bat flunkies he can keep will denounce such a reunion as caving into Modernism and heresy. As long as he’s given free reign to spout his nonsense, he is pretty much guaranteed to fracture any reunion attempts between the Vatican and the Society.

Oh, and Fr. Longenecker, those were scathingly brilliant satires. (Yes, my children watched The Trouble with Angels repeatedly last week. I shudder to think of how Bp. Williamson would review that.)

Well, Fr. Satirist, guess you’ve lost your night job–better hold onto that day job!!

The sad thing is, if you were not to admit to this being your satire, I have actually come to expect all this and worse…
