This was posted at Lori Alexander’s blog The Transformed Wife even if Lori didn’t write it. She clearly approves of it. It is written by Gary Thomas in his book A Lifelong Love. He says you must give your husband sex upon demand every time or your husband will eventually cheat. Not much different that Biblical Gender Role’s Larry Solomon. It’s just Gary has managed to acquire a veneer of acceptability that neither Lori Alexander or Larry Solomon will ever attain if their petty nasty extremism continues. Gary Thomas is associated with Focus on the Family, the same organization that has dog-beating, penis-flashing James Dobson.

While Thomas does not directly say sex on demand divorce-proofs marriages he does come close in his curious conversation with this fictional lady:

I am going to state the obvious yet again, since they seem never to learn. Many issues in marriage can be solved by simply communication with each other, and compromise, meeting in the middle. Relationships go through seasons. They aren’t static, they are filled with change. Sometimes marriage counseling is needed to negotiate these times. It’s not a sin.

If a man is going to cheat there is a lot more going on than a mere lack of sex all the time.

Thomas’ advice was to think of what Anna would think of a daughter in law that was refusing to have sex with her son. How is this in any way appropriate or reasonable? It would be none of Anna’s business in the slightest how often her son and his wife have sex.

Again, really none of your business and not the reason people will cheat on their spouse.
