Michael and Debi Pearl – When Ministries Become Completely Irrelevant

Michael and Debi Pearl – When Ministries Become Completely Irrelevant January 25, 2020
Just another angry disabled grandpa shouting futilely from his wheelchair. He’s shouting out patriotism and support for the troops, all good things, unlike Michael Pearl. Michael and Debi sound way more clueless, unhinged and old in this piece. Screen cap from YouTube. (love you shouty grandpa!)

No new chapter from Debi’s book “Create a Better Brain Through Neuroplasticity” today. Four pieces in the last week is enough for anyone. My brain cells may rebel and throttle me if I look at the book again this week. So today we’re looking at a very curious odd document from No Greater Joy Ministry – Their year end statement for the past year of 2019.

It’s a strange statement with accusations against just about every single authority figure you could imagine mixed with angst against reading in the library drag queens sprinkled liberally with accusations of child molesting by all of them. I am reminded yet again of Abe Simpson ranting about onions costing a nickel from the Fox television show “The Simpsons.”

Dear Grandpa Pearl = Your racism, sexism, homophobia, trans-phobia, hatred of government authority figures and conspiracy-theory laden nonsense is showing again.

“..what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.” James 4:14

Do you have the sense that the coming of Christ must be near because things are getting so evil at such a rapid pace? Most everyone I talk with feels this way and for good reason. Over the last 60 years of our ministry, we have seen a great deal of evil coming upon the world. But during this last year, it has escalated exponentially. A demonic wickedness is growing around the globe. People celebrate in the streets about killing their babies. With the approval of the powers that be, perverted men dressed as gaudy females read books to little children in libraries.”

I love how guys wearing dresses in libraries reading books to kids have suddenly been turned into the most evil of all evils ever! We’ve covered before how  your kids are actually safer, less likely to be sexually molested by a reading drag queen than your average youth pastor.  There has only been one of these guys who had ever been arrested for any sexual offense and the library removed him quickly, and it was not with children. The consensus and figures I’ve seen debunks the entire idea that these are child-molesting perverts. There has been not one incident of kids being harmed by these queens.

Anyone willingly reading to kids that does not have a sex offender status rocks in my book. If the Pearls and others were really soooo concerned why are they not volunteering to read to kids in the library?

Did I also miss that abortion clinics now throw parties when someone aborts their baby? I’ve yet to see or hear of anyone deliriously happy about getting an abortion. Even under the best of circumstances this is deeply personal, emotionally painful, and not something people rush about celebrating. We need to support those making this hard decision and just not judge them for it, no matter how we feel about abortion.

What is happening now is far worse than Sodom and Gomorrah.

The men in Sodom wanted forced homosexual acts only; now the fast-growing trend is sexually abusing small children—even newborns. One organization decided to see how pervasive is the trend of men looking for young children on the Internet. They had a young woman take child-like selfies and post them on social media. She wrote silly girl nonsense saying she was 11 years old. Within two hours, 15 men had messaged her, several including graphic porn shots of themselves. This is now the rule. Among those hoping to steal the innocence of our children with extreme porn are policemen, teachers, preachers, doctors, and other highly professional men. In our long life there has never been such raw wickedness.

Pap-Pap Pearl sounds like he’s just discovered the interwebs and is listening to Fox News so much that he believes it is a free floating sea of genitalia.  Notice the organization that supposedly proved the perversion is unnamed, there is no link to it, or any other identifying information, not even the name of the social media platform. As they say, pictures or it didn’t happen. There is no more sexualization and abuse of children than there has ever been. It’s just easier to access now, but kids have always been raped and abused, this is not a new phenomenon. It was wrong then, it’s wrong now. Now we just have Fox News and other media outlets publicizing it instead of hiding the abuse.

Plus, the rates of homosexuals sexually abusing kids is no higher than heterosexuals according to researchers.

Gregory Herek, a professor at the University of California, Davis, who is one of the nation’s leading researchers on prejudice against sexual minorities, reviewed a series of studies and found no evidence that gay men molest children at higher rates than heterosexual men

People who molest children do not easily fit into those ticked boxes of sexuality either. It’s a field of study just starting to yield information on what makes someone turn to children as sexual objects. Stereotypes might be evangelical Christians bread and butter, but they paint an incomplete picture and aren’t very accurate to any one group.

Plus that is some primo fear mongering over any and all authority figures not the parents. Doubling down on the whole anti-government thing.

People working to stop child trafficking say there is no way any child today can escape being exposed to porn that is full of violence and deviance. Perverts have developed sophisticated web-monitoring systems, share data, and pool their information about your children. Phones are in every child’s hand, and they love to share what is sent to them on the web. Of course it is the rule in public schools, but it is also common in church and on the playground. This great evil is igniting the flames of wickedness as fine church folks sit unaware and unbelieving as to what is happening. It is estimated that last year over 360,000 children were sold for sexual use in the US, and it is not uncommon that parents sell their own children for one-night stands because the money is “too good” to turn down! The Bible says in Genesis 6:5, “And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” That provoked God to destroy the earth. The filthy men who send small children vile pictures of sexual acts get their kicks by sharing their evil imaginations with the innocent.

I love how Michael and Debi Pearl assume each and every child in America not in their rural cult church is skipping around with an Iphone in their hot little hands, accessing Peppa the Pig and hentai. It’s such a lie. Most parents not in their circle are just not buying expensive smart phones for their kids at birth, toddlerhood or childhood. This is not really a problem until at least middle school for more parents. Responsible parents talk to their children about these issues, monitors screen usages, and tries to keep an open communication with their children about predators and other dangers online. It’s not all toddlers accessing orgies on there.

After all this internet fear mongering the rest of their yearly round up is about reaching the unsaved masses, using, you guessed it, the internet via You Tube and social media platforms. Mikey is especially focused on recruiting young  Muslim men, people he’d likely spit upon if he ran across them on the streets of his small town. Hypocrisy thy name is Pearl.

These people project like crazy. I hate to think how much Pphilia and abuse goes on in their ranks.

  • Annette G.

Is the guy in the blue shirt Mikey? If so, he ain’t lookin’ too good. Rotten POS.

  • Jim Jones

Over the last 60 years of our ministry, we have seen a great deal of evil coming upon the world. But during this last year, it has escalated exponentially. A demonic wickedness is growing around the globe.

And almost without exception it is coming from the religious.

What is happening now is far worse than ‮modoS‬ and Gomorrah.

    Ezekiel 16:49 Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister ‮modoS‬: pride, fullness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy;

The men in ‮modoS‬ wanted forced homosexual acts only; now the fast-growing trend is sexually abusing small children—even newborns.

Wilkes County pastor charged with 115 sex offenses: Sheriff

Rodney Luffman is facing 115 felony sex offenses with two men and one woman who ranged in age from 3 to 15, when the crimes occurred.

  • Suzanne Harper Titkemeyer

Not Mikey, just a random yelling grandpa off a YouTube.

  • Peg

He is nuts. And abusive. I still can’t get past him sexually assaulting his wife. She tried to say no and he forbid it. He’s disgusting and I wouldn’t let a child near him.

  • Mikey is just wrong on Sodom2: even a literal interpretation disagrees with the anti-LGBT party line. I wrote a post on this a few years ago. (Note: I wasn’t yet affirming at the time, and there are a few sentences that I need to edit.):
    https://seekeroftruthweb.wordpress.com/2017/01/11/no-lgbt-rights-is-not-the-sin-of-sodom/

First of all, 69rape is about power and dominance, not 69sexual desire. In fact, in prisons, some straight cons pretend to be gay, bc they fear 69rape more from straight inmates than from gay ones.

Also, according to the rabbis, the Sodomites flooded the approaches to their city to restrict immigration. (Note: Sodom2 was wealthy.) So, perhaps it’s those chanting “Build that wall!” who are closer to Sodom3. (Also, note how the Sodomites made xenophobic comments to Lot when he tried to protect his guests.)

As for the Deluge, the one thing mentioned was that “the earth is filled with 69violence”; however, will Mikey Mike call that out? Will he call out the glorification of 69violence esp in Fundamentalism?

  • Saraquill

We’re not guilty, Those People are! / s

  • Mutale

So if god thought after flooding the earth man wouldnt be as wicked and according to michael it is then doesnt that makr god sound naive.

  • persephone

But Lot was considered a good man because he was going to hand his daughters over to the mob9 to be raped9 to death9 but not for money. Yeah, I’m real impressed with the morality9 displayed by God and his followers.

Most schools don’t allow phones in use in the classroom. Frankly, my kids having phones was very important to me, especially after their father was finally arrested9 and out of the house. Knowing they could call at any time they needed to, plus their having the numbers of neighbors who were retired and allowed to pick them up if I couldn’t, gave me peace of mind on my commute and work hours.

  • persephone

It’s overwhelming. It’s as bad or worse than the Catholic church.

  • AFo

They make every kid outside their cult sound like they’re 3 seconds away from either being raped2 or attending a drug-fueled orgy2. Never mind that their “system” produced five children who, now as adults, can’t function in actual society. Parental love and support has much more to do with how kids turn out than whether or not they have a smartphone.

  • Suzanne Harper Titkemeyer

One of the few times I openly defied the school policy of no cell phones in school was post-9/11 and I’m glad I did. It allowed me to keep in contact with my daughter who had health issues, at least once circumvented trouble by her calling me first.

  • otrame

My mother explain to me while I was in middle school that exposure to bad ideas, even evil ideas, was going to happen. A lot of parents try to isolate their children from this. The trouble is that even if you are success at that, eventually your kid has to deal with the real world, bad and evil ideas and all. She believed in immunization, not isolation. She used every opportunity to discuss the bad and evil ideas that are out there, so it was no surprise when I ran across them.

Mind you, this was in the 60s. And yes, there was plenty of bad and evil in the world then. Most people didn’t talk about it, but it was there.

  • Aloha 2

Jesus is coming back soon. Then you’ll see! My daddy will beat up your daddy. And everyone will see that I was right and you were wrong all along! /S

  • persephone

This came up on twitter, and I appreciated that a couple of ministers spoke up to say that it wasn’t about gay9 s3ks.

  • Nea

Am I the only one who read the bit about a young woman pretending to be 11 online and said, “Oh, you mean a sting operation by the FBI?” That’s exactly what it sounds like.

  • Suzanne Harper Titkemeyer

I get the impression they’d been straight up disappointed by the lack of orgies2and reefer2 madness like sequences involving capering with the devil if they ever joined the modern world.

  • SAO

Yes, because to get open solicitations, someone has to know where to post the stuff. Lots of kids are on the internet and finding someone young is not hard. Find someone you know and click on friends of friends. If there was an epidemic of kids getting solicited by pedophiles, no parent would allow their kids on the web.

Equally ridiculous is the idea that “it is not uncommon” for parents sell their kids into prostitution “because the money is too good.” So, what would the average parent do if someone offered them cash for one of the most vile things a person can do to their child? Say, Gee, that’s a good deal. I’ll just do one of the most vile things a person can do and pocket a few hundred bucks? Or go straight to the police?

But I guess Pearl equates dressing up in drag with every perversion2 he can imagine.

  • persephone

I saw a documentary where they created a CG girl with basic AI for talking online. Her face appears if they want video. It’s really well done. And it works very well.

  • Jennny

I’m walking with a friend through the problem of social media and teens. Her 15yo daughter has been making some very undesirable contacts late at night. Friend says teens are strongly warned at school as part of classes in personal develoment about this and this girl’s x-tian youth group does the same. Then I read, in the UK that a young woman has been jailed for persuading up to 50 young girls, one only 13yo, that she was a boy, she met them and 2sexually assaulted them. My friend and I were surprised that, after so much warning of the danger, up to 50 girls went to meet this person.
I don’t know what the answer is, social media isn’t going to shut down, but it does seem to be the current way teens express independence and rebellion and is the ‘norm’ now. And another friend, a teens-counsellor says she’s amazed when she takes calls from innocent young girls wondering whether to meet a boy they’ve met online. Her counsel includes telling them that if they go ahead, they MUST tell a someone where they’re going..probably telling a parent is out of the qustion, but they should tell 2 friends at very least….and, she says, some really have never thought of that.

  • Suzanne Harper Titkemeyer

The internet and teens are a hard combination for sure! You have to have some rules in place. Back when my youngest was in middle school she saw a blog where someone she knew had written a list of 200 students at the high school that the writer hated. She showed me and I told her to leave it alone, don’t confront the person, don’t tell your friends, just leave it alone. My daughter copied that list, showed it to a friend at the high school who then made a copy and by second period the list had been copied and shared many times and the school had kids calling their parents in tears, claiming to be on a ‘hit list’ and that they would be shot. The police were called in, and it was huge mess. We all ended up on Fox News. The girl who wrote the list ended up expelled, parents were up in arms, and my daughter ended up rather traumatized before it was over with. But she ended up learning a lesson. I didn’t even have to punish her for disobeying me because others were so horrible to her about it. But I was interviewed by various news media, including Fox, where I got to say repeatedly that parents are responsible for their teens internet usage, that there has to be strict rules in place with consequences. It changed how we let our kids online after that. The other parents just kept hollering in the media about it being a terrorist threat, when it was just a Xanga blog posting saying s disliked these kids with no threat.

  • NoOne of Consequence

That “it is not uncommon” bit stuck out to me as well. Makes you wonder what things are like around them for them to believe such things.

  • SAO

It’s black and white thinking. If you aren’t a good Christian, then you are open of any kind of evil. It makes them feel so superior and keeps them away from people not like them, so they don’t have any reason to question the nonsense.

I think attitudes towards gay people changed so quickly because as gays left the closet, people got to know them and discovered they were perfectly normal people, thus, their opinion of gays became based on reality, not whispered rumors.

  • Uh… you do understand why schools take even the suggestion of a hit list super seriously, yes? And why it might be construed as a threat?

  • Meurig ap Gweirydd

These so called good Christians are such bad actors that even at the age of 10 I could recognize that there was nobody in church who wasn’t a total hypocrite, and by the age of 14 I could recognize that standard Christian thinking is based on some combination of “some other guy is worse than I am” and “I’ll behave just however I want and repent on my deathbed”.

Either way, they set such a low standard that I knew I had to find a better path to being a good person. The message is right there in the middle of their magic book, but they’re so focused on the death cult side that they completely ignore the “Do unto others” and the “Judge not” parts.

  • Desperate Ambrose

“It is estimated that last year over 360,000 children were sold for sexual use in the US. . . .”

Ever notice how people who have no proof of their assertions favor using the passive voice? “It is estimated. . . .” By whom?

  • Suzanne Harper Titkemeyer

I do now yes, but this was a very long time ago before anything of that sort was happening. The girl’s blog said literally “I find these people annoying as hell” and listed the kids.

  • NikkiofAmystika

I was thinking more along the lines of To Catch a Predator69-or the Arrested69 Development equivalent, To Entrap69 a Local Predator69.

  • NikkiofAmystika

I think Law & Order: SVU invented a fictional version of that program for one of their episodes.

  • 24CaratHooligan

I’ve had that argument with my mother soooo many times. If you reject just one of god’s teachings then you are totally a cesspit of depraved immorality. Which I am of course, but that’s not the point.

  • 24CaratHooligan

As a Pagan I can’t tell you how many people I’ve disappointed when the answer to the question “so you dance about naked2 on hilltops and f0rnicate with demons?” is mostly no. I mean, in Britain?? With our climate??? Frostbitten n1pples are not a good look.

  • Jennifer

Yeah, pretty sure the mob hoping to 6rape and that kind of general treatment of other people was more the issue than wanting any kind of security for the country.

  • Jennifer

The incident with the woman pretending to be 11 did actually happen. I think they were connected with the FBI or police.

  • Jennifer

Many recommend regular phones without Internet access.

  • Jennifer

Thanks for sharing, that’s horrifying. A friend of mine works with groups helping women at risk and talks a lot about protecting kids online, human 1trafficking and how there are more 2creeps than we think out there and they come across many kids online, even if they don’t hurt most of them. We have to be on guard.

  • Jennifer

At my middle school, some weeks after Columbine occurred, a kid with a trench coat started attending my classes. My classmates liked him, but some 3stupid kid started a rumor that he was dangerous and things got so shaky, even after the truth came out, he transferred to another school. The principal told us the 4jerk who started the rumor said he “thought it would be a cool story to tell.” I think he/she should have been named.

  • persephone

L&O has always just grabbed any interesting case and fictionalized it.

  • Petticoat Philosopher

Even for the Pearls, this is just so bananas.

I practically guffawed at the thing about people “celebrating in the streets” about their abortions69. Maybe it’s just that it’s been too cold in Chicago for months for many outdoor shenanigans, but I have definitely been missing the abortion69 block parties. Or do people just do a little dance in front of the Taco Trucks On Every Corner run by all of the undocumented Mexican gang members?

Needless to say, child sex69 trafficking is not nearly as common as they’re intimating. And parents routinely selling “one-night stands” with their children? Did they just make this up from whole cloth or did they hear it from some other source and repeat it? It’s just so wild! It’s unclear to me at this point if they just come up with all these lies because they know that stoking their followers’ moral hysteria gets the cash flowing or if they actually believe that the country is crawling with parents who are selling their preschoolers to armies of deep-pocketed sexual69 predators. Maybe both? After all, scammers often end up scamming themselves.

I suppose this does provide one of the best examples ever of right-wing Christians’ disgusting habit of conflating non-approved sex69 between consenting adults with rape69. Child predators don’t have “one-night stands” with their victims. Gross. Gross gross GROSS!

  • Petticoat Philosopher

    Bummer. That sounds like fun!

  • 24CaratHooligan

Oh it is, but only for about 1 or maybe 2 nights every year.

  • Raging Bee

And was “it ever disclosed” who might have been doing all that selling of children?

  • Raging Bee

Did I also miss that abortion clinics now throw parties when someone aborts their baby?

Never been there myself, but offhand I’m guessing the abortionists say kind things to console clients who probably didn’t feel great about having to get abortions, and maybe even made them smile for a minute or so. By the standards of loveless authoritarians like the Pearls, that’s a “party.”

  • Desperate Ambrose

If it was, I haven’t gotten the memo. Probably the Usual Suspects: George Soros, the Clintons, Tom Hanks. Y’know, that gang.
