The Young Messiah comes to Blu-Ray this coming Tuesday, and to whet our appetites, the distributor has released a clip from the disc’s making-of documentary.

Note: while the filmmakers say that a movie about the childhood of Jesus has never been done before, I can think of one and maybe two films that actually do cover this material: A Child Called Jesus (1987), which I wrote about three months ago, and The Holy Family (2006), which I have not yet seen. Both of those films were produced for television, though, so maybe The Young Messiah is a first for the big screen.
