Boy Scouts Change Their Name? And Jokes

The Friendly Atheist, Hemant Mehta, wrote about the BSA and atheists back in 2017:

The BSA has every right, as a private organization, to set its own membership requirements, but considering how their barriers have come down for so many other groups in the past several years, this remains an irrational obstacle of their own creation.

I’ve always told my kids we wouldn’t be part of any organization that discriminates.  It’s part of my fatherly philosophy of “We don’t join organizations like that, and we don’t give them money.”
